Promise Home’s Fish Business Manager: Julio Sanchez

Pictured to the left above is Julio Sanchez with his daughter Sonnie. Julio is the manager of Promise Home’s self-sustaining funding Tilapia Fish business. Also pictured (top right) are some of the 41 fish ponds and (bottom right) a view inside the fish processing plant on the Promise Home campus in Honduras. Promise Home currently has more than 600,000 Tilapia in various stages of development and is projecting a net profit this year from the fish business. Ultimately, income from the fish business and other self-sustaining funding programs will underwrite the financial needs of Promise Home’s Ministries. You can learn more about our self-sustaining funding programs here on our website. Please pray for Julio, his family and all the other staff in Honduras as they work diligently to make our self-sustaining projects profitable.

As you may well imaging, it will take some time for our self-sustaining funding programs to provide for the financial needs of Promise Home. As we are implementing the projects that have the capacity to make Promise Home totally self-supporting in the future there is opportunity for you to help today. We are moving closer every day to welcoming abused, abandoned and neglected children for residential care at the Promise Home Children’s Village and extending our reach into the El Portillo community with pre-school and after school programs. Will you help Promise Home minister to these precious children today with a one time or month gift? Please visit our Donate page to make a gift today.

Bill Hayden, Director of Operation & Founder

Bill Hayden

God gave Bill the vision for Promise Home while he was serving on a medical mission trip in Nicaragua in 2006. Since then he has worked tirelessly to lead the ministry to where it is today. As you can imagine, there have been many challenges, frustrations as well as tremendous blessings along the way. Through it all Bill has kept his eyes on Jesus and is driven by the overwhelming needs of children in Honduras. Today the vision is becoming a reality as the first children begin arriving at the orphanage in March. Bill is in Honduras now (where he spends a significant amount of his time these days) with a mission team working to finishing the required construction and other projects to insure the campus will be ready for the children. Please pray for Bill as he leads the way every day to move Promise Home closer to engaging its Mission.

Promise Home Children’s Village Casita at Sunset

This Casita will provide housing for 20 precious children at our orphanage in El Portillo, Honduras. The first of these children will arrive in March of this year.

As you reflect on this photo, please join us in praising the Lord for His gracious provision during the years of planning and preparation bringing us to where we are today! The sun is setting on the time of preparation to house abused, abandoned and neglected children in our orphanage. Much work remains to be completed on the Children’s Villages and other aspects of Promise Home’s support structure.

As the sun sets on preparations A NEW DAY IS DAWNING! This year will begin a new era for us as we not only welcome resident children but expand community ministries as well. Our plans include expanding community outreach though our church, establishing a medical clinic and starting pre-school & after school programs. Will you pray for us as we complete preparations on the Promise Home Campus? As you pray, please consider making a one time or monthly gift to Promise Home to help complete preparations and provide for the ongoing support of our ministries.

We invite you to help us get the word our by sharing this post with everyone you know. To make a gift please visit our Donate page.
