In April, we received four more children at Promise Home. We received two boys. Jordan is one year old and Raymond is two years old. We also received two baby girls. Grace was six days old and Melanie was six weeks old.
Since we do not know who we are going to receive or their ages until the phone rings, we have spent a lot of time buying baby beds and car seats this month once we received these babies. Many of you have helped us with the purchases of our new baby beds. Thanks, our babies really enjoy the new beds.
This month we had a team from the Heights church led by Paul Johnson. They installed the rough out electrical and plumbing for the Director’s home.
May will be another busy month. We have a team that will paint the front gate and finish painting the Director’s home.
We will also start hiring our staff to start the teacher traning program for our After School Program at our church at Promise Home. The After School Program will provide lunch and then a Christian education for two hours each Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for the sixty-five children (1st-6th grades) that attend our village school in El Portillo.
Please continue to pray for our children’s division staff and for the ladies that are working so hard to make our children feel loved.
