In April, we had three teams come to Promise Home.  The first team was from First Baptist Church in Vincennes, Indiana.  The team was lead by Duke Hampsch.  They had three projects: They installed the electrical wiring for the Children’s casita.

They also worked on the security fence

and the soffit

The second team was lead by Jason Roberts from San Marcos Texas.  This was a group of business men who had a common bond, they have all adopted a child from another country and understand first hand the need for an organization like Promise Home.  We showed them other children homes in our area so that they could better understand the needs of the children in Honduras

Of course they spent some time working on our first casita.

The final team was from The River Church in Forsyth Missouri lead by Dean Donat. They completed the soffit work on the children’s casita.

In May, Julio and our guys started the installation of eight 40’ ponds and three 20’ ponds.

Our goal is to have fish in the new ponds by the end of May.

God has really blessed us this year at Promise Home with great teams, good friends and the financial resources to build the first casita and add the additional ponds.
