Dateline: April 24, 2012

We are setting up the five 20’ ponds.  The 20’ ponds will be used to grow 8,000 minnows until they reach a quarter of a pound then they will be moved to a 40’ pond to finish growing to the market size of one pound.

For the last two weeks we have been grading the area north of the concrete ponds to add two large holding ponds.  Each pond can hold 200,000 gallons of water.  The ponds will be used to warm the water before it enters the tilapia ponds.  As you can see, they are massive.

Next week, we will begin the exciting project of grading the top of the first hill (removing the top 20’) to make a pad where we can build two large duplex casitas.  Once it is graded, we will be able to start building our first duplex casita.
